What is Day-to-Day?
Day-to-Day is an emotional narrative, resource management game about grief, healing, and persistence. Players step into the shoes of a woman who has lost her family, navigating her daily life one small task at a time. Rather than presenting grief as something to “overcome”, the game portrays it as a journey, one that unfolds slowly, with setbacks, small victories, and moments of reflection.
The goal: Heal through mundaneness. Slowly adding more chores, until it feels normal and the pain fades.
Game modes
Realistic
This gives the player a more realistic view on the healing process and dealing with grief. It is far more tedious, and takes longer to complete:
- Game progress is slower
- More realistic healing journey
- Fail state
Casual
Casual mode helps the player get through the game faster, without losing out on any of the story. Less tedious and quicker to complete:
- Game progresses faster
- Easier to progress
- No fail state
